We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:
Graphic Designer
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
The first interviews will be scheduled for those whose applications are received before September 1. If positions are still available afterwards, we will continue to review applications on a rolling basis.

We are currently accepting applications for the following Editorial Board positions:
Buddhist Discussion Editor (this position has been filled. Please check back for future opportunities).
What is the Editorial Board?
The role of the Editorial Board is to manage, review, and edit all submissions of the Young Buddhist Editorial. Not only do Editorial Board members ensure that all content reflects and upholds our Mission Statement, but they are responsible for directing content towards our various columns and seeking out authors to encourage discussion around current topics.
Buddhist Discussion Editor
General Responsibilities:
Work with the other YBE editors to approve and create articles for the YBE website.
Brainstorm with the other YBE editors to come up with more content for the YBE website.
Help to grow the YBE community through outreach in the greater Buddhist Community. Work with the executive board in growing the YBE brand.
Position specific Responsibilities:
Revise and approve user submissions that contain Buddhist themes or lessons
Build relationships and networks with Buddhist Ministers
Write articles for the main YBE website that feature Buddhist based content or focus on the main theme of the month
Editorial Board Application Deadline: Reviewed on a rolling basis.
You will first receive a confirmation email that your application was received within three business days. Our search committee will then reach out to you within a week for interviewing availability.

What is the YBE Team?
YBE Team Members work directly with Executive and Editorial board members with the goal of improving the way we work, helping expand our reach, and other role-specific responsibilities that are vital to keep our community thriving. Through this initiative, the hope is that we can hear and see more voices and perspectives that are passionate about YBE’s mission. As a member of the YBE Team, you will:
Work directly with executive board and editorial board members to expedite and improve systems and processes that are vital to keep our community thriving and relevant
Content and Outreach Coordinator (this position has been filled. Please check back for future opportunities.)
Roles + Responsibilities
Work directly with the PR Chair and other PR Team members to create new content for social media and explore marketing opportunities
Manage schedules and deadlines for social media open calls
Update the PR Posting Schedule on YBE Google Calendar
Explore areas and ways in which YBE can expand its community and better reach individuals in its target age range of 18-35 year olds
Provide insight into successful content and analyze engagement data to increase interaction
Our Ideal Candidate:
Has interest or experience in social media marketing or other aspects of marketing
Experience managing Instagram feeds and Facebook accounts (Twitter and Youtube a plus)
Has an interest in Buddhism
Team player who is always looking to learn, collaborate, and help others grow
Willing to move around and try new things as opportunities arise. We are still a small organization internally, so there are always different ways to become involved and gain experience along the way
Can commit up to 5-8 hours per week

Graphic Designer
Roles + Responsibilities:
Assist PR Chair in executing designs and templates for various graphic requests, social media series, and all other YBE related graphic content
Work with other members of the PR Team to execute timelines and plan content for social media
Help further develop YBE’s Brand and Style Guide
Work collaboratively to develop themes and identities for the various aspects of YBE
Our Ideal Candidate:
Has access to and experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (all other softwares are a plus)
Strong time management and communication skills, and can manage multiple deadlines at once
Creative, out-of-the-box thinker and problem-solver
Has an Interest in Buddhism
Can commit up to 8-10 hours a week
